Where history meets hospitality
Est. 18th Century
Nestled in the village that George Michael once called home, The Miller sits between the Chiltern Hills and North Wessex Downs.
From our door, follow the Thames Path, trace history along the ancient Ridgeway, or while away the afternoon on the water. When your legs are tired, a beautiful room and a warm welcome await.
Stay
13 rooms, each with its own character. Some with four-posters, some with roll-top baths — all comfortable and a bit different.
Eat & Drink
Seasonal menus, Sunday carvery, pizzas on the terrace. Great wines and local ales in a proper pub atmosphere.
Gather
Birthdays, anniversaries, wakes, corporate events. Our spaces flex to fit, from intimate dinners to 100+ celebrations.
Our name comes from an old English ballad — King Henry II, lost in Sherwood Forest, was given shelter by a miller who didn't know his guest was the king. Henry rewarded his honest hospitality by knighting him on the spot.
